Rep. Drew MacEwen, R-Union, introduced a bill to update and simplify the state’s business and occupation tax (B&O). House Bill 2150 would eliminate the tax burden on over 285,000 businesses in Washington state by ending preferences built in to the tax structure since its inception in the 1930’s.

We are well into the 2015 legislative session, and while much work remains to be done, I am pleased to report we are making progress! I am happy to provide you with this update on the work taking place at the Capitol in recent weeks.
